Man Accused of Leaving Dogs Out in 15 Degree Temperatures With Frozen Water Bowls Sentenced to Prison

A Van Zandt County man, James Henry Eubanks, has reportedly been sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to charges of animal cruelty in a case that has shocked local communities and animal advocacy groups alike. According to the SPCA of Texas, Eubanks was arrested on January 19 after authorities discovered ten dogs in what can only be described as horrific circumstances on a property near Wills Point. They found six of the dogs confined to individual kennels and tragically noted that three of them were deceased.
